Highland reaches out to meet the need of the hungry in several ways. Seasonal vegetables from our garden and orchard, donated non-perishable items, and cash offerings are donated to St John's UMC Shepherd's Market to combat hunger in our local area.
Highland has an ongoing relationship of supporting Heifer International in their endeavors to help end hunger and poverty worldwide by enabling people to become more self-supporting through the gift of livestock and training in their care.
"Gifts of Literacy"
Early-Reader books given to every first grader at Magnolia Woods Elementary School for Christmas and the end of the school year.
Presbyterian Church (USA)

As part of the wider community of faith in Baton Rouge, Highland is a member of two important organizations: Together Baton Rouge and the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge. Both organizations offer a variety of activities designed to bring God's presence into our community.
